Kangrui Law Firm is pleased to announce that partner Gloria) Wu was invited to speak at a webinar organized by FICPI Sweden titled “Copyright overlapping with other IP Rights.” The program took place on 23 October 2025, 13:20–16:00 CEST (Stockholm) (19:20–22:00 Beijing time).
Gloria Wu delivered “The Chinese perspective” session from 14:00–14:30 CEST, sharing practical insights on how copyright can intersect with trademarks, design rights, and patents in China, including registration practices and enforcement considerations.
The webinar gathered international experts to examine when and how IP rights may overlap, the limits on simultaneous enforcement, and defenses based on prior copyright. Speakers included Dr. Marc Mimler (EU perspective), Robert S. Katz (US perspective), and Ross A. Dannenberg (analysis of Google v. Oracle), followed by a panel debate. Anita Gillior of FICPI Sweden moderated the program.
Gloria Wu is a partner and attorney-at-law at Kangrui Law Firm . She holds a Bachelor of Law from Beijing Foreign Studies University and an EMBA from Kellogg–HKUST. She regularly assists global IP owners with strategies for patent, trademark, and copyright protection in China, is an active international speaker, and serves on the **FICPI International CET group on Trademarks**.
